ABOUT US

Mirriam Mambwe Rural Scholarship Foundation is based in chanyanya village which is about 35km away from kafue town. It has been in existence for a year and has over 100 children on the program which includes provision of quality education and rural outreach programs. Its mission is to create a platform that pays particular attention to the inclusion of education to rural children providing them with the same opportunities as those in the city without living anyone behind.

What We Do

We go to schools across the entire village including the ones on the island to speak to children on the importance of education accompanied by the ones that have successfully completed and are working in different parts of the country. We provide school related materials for school going children starting from the age of 5 who are enrolled in pre-schools and we source for their scholarships to facilitate education.

Bringing impactful change in the rural area.

Over the next 10 years, we intend to be able to provide shelter for the homeless children, cater for transport in form of bicycles, motorbikes and a school bus as well as provision of the main meal for the children who sometimes go for days without a proper meal. Additionally, we would build a free secondary school as our target areas do not have one at the moment, this will inspire more children and they will look forward to completing secondary school.
